TIME TO STEP UP FOR THE OFM YOUTH SOCCER PROGRAM
VOLUNTEER AS A COACH
July 17, 2017
As many of you know OFM has organized a youth boys and girls' soccer program for the past 8 years. This is a non-competitive program and welcomes children of all skill level, ages 4-14. Our goal is to teach basic soccer skills, team work, good sportsmanship and building up self-confidence. We also supply community service hours to our high school students who participate and volunteer. They can earn up to 72 hours or more over the 12 week soccer season. These hours are essential when applying for college scholarships.
The program has become very popular and we now are averaging 120 children per season. While we have seen an increase in children wanting to join in the fun, we have had a serious decrease adult volunteers. Adult volunteers are necessary for this community program to function and for everyone in the community to benefit.
We want to continue the OFM Youth Soccer Program but we need your help to do that!
Show your support and give back to the community by volunteering as a coach.
We need a minimum of 10 Adult Volunteers committed to the 2017 fall season.
